Andy Warhol was a influential in Jean-Michel Basquiat art form. Odd synergy of Basquiat’s ” abstract of black struggle complexity” and Warhol’s famous “pop art”

Jean-Michel Basquait- renowned graffiti artist, neo-expressionist figure. Known for “Irony of Negro Policeman” and “Untitled (History of the Black People)”. Used his abstraction, primitivisim, symbolism to illustrate black history and his native homeland (Haiti). Probably the most iconic African American modern artist. Died in 1988 due to heroin overdose….an acclaimed member of the “27 club”
